CrossFit Solent Terms and Conditions as of January 2022
- Memberships
- Term Memberships: Your first month at CrossFit Solent is pro-rated; contingent upon when this agreement is initiated relative to the first of each month. Monthly fees are only prorated once, upon initial enrolment with CrossFit Solent.
- Term Membership Payments: All term memberships and guest fees are collected via auto-debit (i.e. electronic funds transfer) from either a bank account, debit card or credit card. By providing your account, debit card or credit card information you allow CrossFit Solent to automatically withdraw fees as they come due on the 1st of the month.
- Membership fees are fixed by CrossFit Solent and we reserved the right to change these at any time. Members will be notified (via email or notification in WODBoard) of any changes in the fees at least 30 days prior to the date of the alteration.
- Premium Triple memberships allow members to book a maximum of 3 classes per week plus open gym outside of class times
- Premium and PremiumBlueLights memberships are subject to a maximum of five classes per week plus open gym outside of class times
- Open Gym memberships are offered purely at the discretion of CrossFit Solent and we reserve the right to withdraw these at any time.
- Off Peak Open Gym memberships can only book sessions between 0930 and 1730 Monday – Friday, 1100-1300 Saturday and 0900-1200 Sunday.
- Introduction Courses
- New members are required to undergo an introduction course before being allowed to attend classes for safety reasons.
- Group Introduction courses require a minimum of four people to run. CrossFit Solent reserves the right to cancel or reschedule if this minimum number is not achieved 72 hours prior to the start time. If the client is unable to attend the rescheduled dates, they will be entitled to a full refund.
- Course attendees must give at least 72 hours notice to cancel or reschedule their place on an introduction course. Less than 72 hours notice will result in forfeit of the full course cost.
- Purchase of 1-2-1 introduction course is non-refundable other than within 3 days of purchase. Members must give 24 hours notice if they are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, otherwise a late fee of £10 will be charged.
- New members have three days after purchasing an introduction course to cancel without penalty. If the agreement is cancelled within three days, CrossFit Solent will return to the member within thirty days all amounts paid as long as the member gives at least 72 hours notice before the start of the course. If the course is purchased within 72 hours of the course date, no refund will be issued. Intent to cancel must be emailed to info@crossfitsolent.co.uk.
- Availability of Facility
- Members may use the facilities only during scheduled classes, scheduled events or by appointment. Operating hours and current class schedules are listed on our website at www.crossfitsolent.co.uk. CrossFit Solent reserves the right to change operating hours and/or class schedules at its sole discretion without any effect to this Agreement. CrossFit Solent endeavours to give members at least 30 days notice with regards to any changes.
- Limited Availability: CrossFit Solent may close its facility for seminars, certifications, maintenance, selected holidays and other hours based on requirements. CrossFit Solent may delete, change, discontinue, repair or replace any part or all of the facility without any effect on this Agreement. CrossFit Solent endeavours to give members at least 30 days notice with regards to any changes.
- Limited Use: If you know or should know you have a problem that might prevent you from using CrossFit Solent (i.e. medical or family emergency, business travel, vacation, etc.) and you sign this agreement; you agree that your membership is limited accordingly. However, because this is your choice, you still must pay your monthly fees as if you could use the facility; there will be no carry-over of monthly fees into subsequent months for any time unspent using the facility in a previous month. - Hold Policy for Term Memberships
- Members may put their term membership on hold, in one calendar month increments, for up to three calendar months per calendar year for a fee of £20 per month. Notice of hold must be given to CrossFit Solent via e-mail info@crossfitsolent.co.uk at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of the month to be frozen. Members will not be billed for membership during held months. Billing will resume automatically upon end of freeze.
- Late Payment/Declined Credit Card Fees
- A £5 late payment fee will be due and payable for payments received past the 5th of the month. A declined credit card/debit card will result in a fee of £5. Membership fees must be paid on the first day of the month. Members who are not current will not be allowed to participate in classes after the 5th of the month.
- Cancellation of Membership by Member
- A member may cancel his/her membership at any time with at least 30 days’ notice. Please remember partial months are not permitted. If a member cancels on or after the 2nd of any month, then a full payment will still be due the following month on the 1st. There are no refunds for membership fees.
- A member may upgrade his/her membership at any point by emailing the staff at info@crossfitsolent.co.uk, and his/her membership will take effect immediately, or as requested by the member. A member may downgrade his/her membership with at least a 30 day written notice, and the downgrade will take effect on the first date of the next billing cycle after the first 30 day notice period.
- Class Bookings
- Members must book into classes or open gym using Wodboard. Members are required to cancel any class/open gym they are booked into no less than 2 hours before the start, or before 9pm the previous evening for morning classes. If a member cancels within this period or does not turn up they will forfeit the session.
- Class Attendances
- If a member has booked a class/open gym but does not attend then the coach will apply a ‘no show’ to the system and the member will lose that session as part of their allowance.
- Personal Training
- All private training sessions booked require 24 hours notice from the member for cancellation to avoid penalty. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice the full amount of that session will be charged to the member.
- Lost Property
- 10.1.CrossFit Solent assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen articles. Lost and found articles not claimed after 30 days will be donated to charity or thrown away.
- Smoking, Alcohol, Food and Drink
- No smoking is allowed in any part of the facility. Members should not use the facilities whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Food or drink may be taken into the facilities if it is in a non-breakable, enclosed container.
- Supervision of children
- 12.1.Members must be 16 years of age or older unless supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times, or enrolled in our Kids program.
- 12.2.Guests/Visitors under the age of 16 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
- Conduct
- 13.1.CrossFit Solent is committed to the health, safety, welfare of each of its members and staff and will not tolerate unreasonable, threatening, obscene, harassing, indecent or illegal behaviour. CrossFit Solent has the right to judge behaviour and respond accordingly. This right included, but is not limited to, termination of membership without refund of any member engaging in unacceptable behaviour.

- Damages
- 14.1.Members shall pay for any damage to CrossFit Solent property which results from the wilful or negligent conduct of member, member’s guest or dependent children.

- Rules and/or Regulations
- 15.1.Members who do not observe CrossFit Solent rules and regulations or who abuse equipment in any fashion will be asked to leave. The management reserves the right to terminate membership of anyone who refuses to observe any of CrossFit Solent’s rules or regulations. Not all rules and regulations are listed in this agreement. CrossFit Solent reserves the right to add, change or remove rules, conditions of memberships, opening and closing hours, and all services and facilities offered by CrossFit Solent.
- Discounts
- 16.1.Premium BlueLights and Students membership is available to serving service personnel – this includes: armed forces, MH armed forces veterans (ex-serving), Fire and rescue services, Ambulance services including paramedic. To qualify for the discount, you will need to show proof of your involvement such as a valid MOD 90 card or student card.
- Miscellaneous
- 17.1.These terms and conditions supersede any prior written or oral agreements between them concerning the subject matter of this agreement. The provisions of this may be waived, altered, amended or repealed, in whole or in part, only upon prior written consent of all parties.
