15 Mar Member of the Month – November 2016
Name: Edward Buller
How did you first get involved with Crossfit Solent?
Went Skiing with a mate from Spain. He started banging on about it and I had seen a few videos. I needed something new as wasn’t playing rugby much anymore and was getting fat.
What has been your most memorable Crossfit Moment so far?
Probably the 250kg Deadlift. Just took me by surprise. There’s some days you just feel stupidly strong and that was one of the days. It was nice competing as well and I think I’ve mastered double unders at last.
Name a CF goal you hope to achieve by the end of 2016 / 2017?
Think like a lot doing CrossFit. I’d love a 100kg snatch. So that’s my goal. Although it was my goal in 2016 and that hasn’t happened. Fingers crossed for next year.
What do you do when you are not training at Crossfit Solent?
I tend to be looking after the little lady. So do lots with her which is great fun and very rewarding. She has the best Squat technique I’ve ever seen and she’s only 16months. If I’m not looking after her I cycle a lot mainly Road but also started mountain biking. I try to ski yearly as well. I watch lots of rugby as well.
What is your biggest improvement since you started Crossfit back in 2014?
It’s got to be flexibly. I didn’t realise how bad it was until I started. But I’ve still got a long way to go.
What is your favourite part of being a Crossfit Solent Member?
The enthusiasm and motivation everyone has. Everyone’s there to better themselves and that in turn motivates everyone else including me.
If they could design a workout what would be in it?
Probably something with Deadlifts,GTOH and cycling.
