What is WOD?

WOD is the common term in CrossFit used to say “Workout of the Day”. Whenever we say WOD we are just defining what we do for the timed or required amount of work for the day.

If you see a name at the top of the WOD list, it has two explanations:

1. Some are just the “girls” and the “guys” that designed the workouts to test people’s fitness levels.
2. They are the hero WODs. They are for the men and women who have given their lives defending our country. They are the soldiers, police officers, paramedics, navy seals, and more and are the reasons we get the “right” to do what we want to do! CrossFit honors them as often as possible. You can google the list of HERO WODs – it’s growing all the time.

Our WOD is the main body of work to be completed during a CrossFit class.

The WOD does not include:

• what we’ll do to warm up
• what kind of mobility will be done
• what skill work will be focused on
• what kind of ab work may be worked
